Can I Vape At The NBA? | blu

With NBA season just around the corner, fans from up and down the country are getting ready to grab tickets to see all the action. But for any vapers looking to watch some of the best the NBA has to offer this coming season, there’ll likely be one question left to answer: can I vape at the NBA?

While there aren’t any teams that allow you to vape inside the arena, there are a lot who make provisions to allow you to vape whilst attending the game. Some have specific vaping areas inside the complex itself, whereas others will let you outside the stadium to vape before re-entering once you’re finished. There are a select few who don’t allow for either of these circumstances, so make sure you prepare in advance and vape before you go inside.

If you want more information on where you can and can’t vape at the NBA, head to your team’s website and check out the information in more detail for yourself.

US Vaping Laws: A State-By-State Guide

US Vaping Laws_Where Can I Vape_Blog_Header Image | blu

Since the introduction of e-cigarettes in the USA around 10 years ago, there have been many changes to the legislation governing their use. Here we take a look at the specific vaping laws in each state in order to shed a little light on where you’re allowed to vape.

Some states don’t have any statewide vaping laws in place. However, it’s important to note that local vaping regulations may still be in place. For example, Alaska doesn’t have any statewide vaping laws, but the city of Juneau have vaping legislation that prevent vaping in the workplace. Similarly, even though some states may have statewide vaping regulations, this doesn’t necessarily prevent a local government from passing further vaping laws.

In addition to this, even if a town or city allows vaping in a certain location, the decision to allow vaping will lie with the business owner. Remember to check with a member of staff before you start vaping in any establishment.

Meet our October Fan of the Month: Sandy

How long have you used blu?

I have been using blu for over 2 years. I love it!

What’s your favorite blu product?

The blu PLUS+™.

What’s your favorite flavor and why?

Magnificent Menthol. I have always been a menthol smoker. I don’t like the flavored ones. Smoking the menthol makes me feel that I am unfortunately. I feel it gives me a fresher feeling.

Tell us about your blu experience.

I tried the disposables a long time ago, however, I prefer the blu PLUS+™ because it is rechargeable. You can recharge it in your car or with your USB at home. It is so easy to use.

You have the entire day to spend doing whatever you want. How do you spend it?

I would spend it playing with my dogs. I have 2 now and just lost my oldest last Friday, from which I have still not recovered from. I would take my dogs out, playing, running and just spend the day with them. They relax me, give me unconditional love and affection.

Where are your go-to vaping spots?

I vape at home, in my car, while traveling, outside walking around my house. I usually don’t vape or smoke in public. Never really have.

Any advice for a first time vaper or someone new to blu?

It takes a while to get used to it. It is a little heavier than what I am used to.

Best Halloween Costumes For Vapers

Best Halloween Costumes For Vapers | blu

It’s hard to believe, but Halloween is right around the corner, and that means everyone needs to get ready for the spookiest holiday of them all! Before the big day, you’ll need to drag all of your decorations out of the cardboard box in the attic, carve up the scariest (or silliest) pumpkin you can fathom, and, most importantly, find a great costume to wear.

But which costume will really help you stand out this year? After all, pretty much any good idea in memory has been done to death, and on top of that you can guarantee that every other person you run into will go as someone from the year’s hottest movies or TV shows. Being a Jon Snow in a room of Jon Snows ain’t so special.

Luckily for you, you can show off your vaping colors with this short list of the best costumes to wear using your e-cig as a prop! Choose one of these costumes to stand out from the crowd this Halloween, and let everyone know that you’re proud to be a vaper.

Your e-cig will serve as a great prop as a part of your volcano costume, and one of the best things about this costume is that it can be totally different depending on how ambitious you are.

To do this idea simply, wear brown clothes underneath and then get a hold of a cheap pair of yellow and red t-shirts. Cut most of the material from the t-shirts off, leaving the collar on both, with long lines leading down from each. Put these on over the brown underlayer to give the effect of spewing molten lava. It may be worth tracing these lines before cutting the t-shirts. For even greater effect, you could dye your hair red and yellow to mimic the lava, or gray to imitate the ash coming from the volcano.

Steam Train

This costume will require a little more preparation since you’ll have to put it together with cardboard before painting the final design. The best way to get it done is to have a large box that slips over you for the main part of the train with a small, cylindrical tube attached to the front to serve as the front of the train. You can also fix the smokestack to this tube to give your train its unmistakable finish.

You can attach some spare suspenders to the main box to make sure you don’t have to cling onto it all night, and you can use the spare circular cut-outs from the smaller tubes as wheels on the side of your train. For the more adventurous costume makers among you, cut a series of holes from the main box to the smokestack so you can blow your vape through to give your train a realistic feel.

Whether you go contemporary or traditional, nothing’s gonna beat this mythical beast! You’ll be able to find plenty of pre-made dragon costumes out there, so if you’re short on time this may be the costume for you.

If you want to make your own, it’s a great chance to get creative and give your costume a personal touch. You can make the mask by cutting and painting a plain face mask, although you should make sure that this color scheme matches the outfit’s accompanying clothes. Try to find clothes will that give your outfit a particularly scaly look. The wings can be made by tracing the shape onto large pieces of cardboard before cutting, painting and decorating. Attach the wings to two looped pieces of string so you can wear them rather than sticking them to your shirt.

If you decide to use your e-cig as a prop in your Halloween costume this year, make sure to take plenty of pictures and share them with us on Facebook and Twitter!

What Is Vapor?

What Is E-Cigarette Vapor and How Is It Made? | blu

Vapor is the substance produced by e-cigarettes for inhalation. Vapor is created when the liquid inside the e-cigarette (known as e-liquid) is heated. After inhaling, the vapor is then exhaled by the person using the e-cigarette. Here, we take an in-depth look at how vapor is formed and what it’s made of.

What Is In E-Cigarette Vapor?

E-cigarette vapor is created when e-liquid is heated by the coil inside the clearomizer or tank. Once heated, the liquid turns into vapor, which can then be inhaled through the mouthpiece by the person using the e-cig (also known as the vaper). After being inhaled into the lungs, the vapor is then exhaled through the mouth or nose.

Similar in appearance to a small cloud (hence the term “cloud chasing”), e-cigarette vapor is comprised of small droplets of water which evaporate a few seconds after being released into the air. The other ingredients found in e-cigarette vapor are largely the same as those found in e-liquid, namely propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, water, flavorings and nicotine. For more information on the ingredients in e-liquid, check out our blog on what e-liquid’s made of and how it gets made.

Does Vapor Smell?

E-cigarette vapor will typically carry the same smell as the flavor you’re vaping. However, e-cigarette vapor won’t leave a smell behind after it evaporates. This is because the particles that make up the vapor do not latch onto objects in the same way as other substances. This means you can vape inside without worrying about a lingering smell on your clothes or furniture.

How Long Does Vapor Last?

E-cigarette vapor will hang in the air for a few seconds before it starts to evaporate, although the amount of time it stays in the air will depend on the weather. On more humid days, you may find that the vapor may last for slightly longer before dissipating. The ingredients in your e-liquid will also make a difference; a higher percentage of PG in your e-liquid creates thinner clouds of vape that will evaporate more quickly, and more VG in your e-liquid will mean it takes longer to disappear.
